To face this incoming huge public health challenge, large-scale projects for primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of neurovascular risk have to be developed. French new advanced nursing practices will be most promising if they are based on the timeliness of pathology follow-up but also on leadership in training, research and innovation in the care pathway for stroke victims.
